One other awesome thing that happened this month... Eric & I started taking spin class together! He has been totally on top of his game since we joined the Y in February & one Saturday I jokingly invited him to join me at spin that morning. I assumed he'd tell me that it was for girls (which we all know is not the case) but he totally took it on! He was surprised by how intense that hour was, but loved it! We've been back together three times now & I think he was really disappointed that we had to miss this week while my parents were here. I love that we're in this together & feel like we're closer than ever since we started working out together. Our kids love it too because the Y's childcare is a fun fest!
Now, goals for May:
- Get my 5K time under 30 minutes. This will be tough because even though I'm at the gym five times a week, I haven't been running super consistently. I really want to do a few races over the summer though, so getting myself 5K ready is essential!
- Get over my fear of the free weight area. I am SO intimidated by all the men that populate the free weight area when I'm there! I need to educate myself (via YouTube lol) and go in with a plan so I look like I know what I'm doing!
- Hold a 3 minute plank every day. Yep. Every day. I need to strengthen that core for the summer!
