Life Lately

Happy Thursday friends! Today is my Friday & we're leaving for Virginia right after school, so I'm pretty excited! Of course, that means I've been packing like a maniac & we'll be driving half the night, but it's always worth it once we get there.

Today I'm sharing a round up of photos from the past week or so. I'm taking tomorrow off to enjoy the time with my mom, so I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I'll be back on Monday to share all about our trip :)

The other day I was walking through Ella's Kindergarten hall while picking her up from after-care & she stopped to show me her self-portrait. I obviously told her how much I loved it, but I was cracking up inside. And this picture of her is just hysterical too.

Ella got a Trolls Halloween book from the book order & it had punch out masks in it. She loves Poppy, so it's been a big hit.

This picture just makes my heart happy. #givemeallthepastries While I was in Pittsburgh this past weekend, I went to a girls brunch at this cute little bakery. Everything was to die for & they had a huge canister of homemade tea with bottomless refills. It was like heaven.

And speaking of iced tea.... apparently I'm a legend. This email arrived in my inbox yesterday & made me laugh out loud. I'm pretty sure if you asked my husband he'd tell you I have a problem, but ask Dunkin' and they'll tell you I'm a legend.

And these boys... I don't even know what to say about them. They have so much fun together & our trips to Pitt are always a blast. Michael - the fool in the Dallas Cowboys hat below - and his wife Karissa - who is a doll - just redid the entire downstairs of their house. We visited for their housewarming & I was so impressed! The last time I was in Pitt, they'd just purchased the house & it was full of boxy little rooms. Now, it's a huge open space that HGTV lovers everywhere will ooh and ahh over. So impressed with them (and by them I mean mostly Karissa).

Last, our trip to Pitt consisted of two of my favorite things. Starbucks & Chick-fil-a. Looking forward to having both again this weekend in Virginia!
