Positive Intentions...

This week is going to be a fabulous week because I am going to make it so...

That's what I woke up & told myself this morning. It's going to be a HUGE week & I think that I can benefit from some positive thinking... 

I have a ton to accomplish, but there's a three day weekend at the end of that tunnel & I'm determined to power through. The best way to power through? Set goals. 

Goal #1 - Nail My Observation.

My teaching observation is today & I'm kind of excited. It's really dorky - like being excited to do a presentation for your class, but I love what I do and want to "show off" my skills. I've designed a kick ass lesson & feel confident that I'm going to rock it. I'll know how I did by Wednesday afternoon & then it'll be done for the year. I just love that I'm getting it done & over with before the real chaos begins... 

Goal #2 - Clean the Routine.

We finished the routine on Friday night & I breathed a huge sigh of relief that it's done. They can go from start to finish, but it is not even close to what I would call "pretty." That's why it's time to clean. For those of you unfamiliar with cheerleading, cleaning the routine means picking it apart & calling everyone on even the tiniest mistakes. It's long, hard work. I feel mean when I do it, especially when they start crying - and trust me, someone always cries. But it's important work. It has to be done if you want to win, so I suck it up & get it done. Thankfully two of my fave cheer ladies will be joining me & I have the satisfaction of knowing how much better I'll feel watching the routine once it's done. 

Goal #3 - Eat All Meals At (or from) Home. 

I ate at least 1 take out meal every night last week. They weren't deep fried, horrific meals - but they still weren't the healthiest. It was my own fault. I didn't do anything to prepare for the week and didn't even set foot in a grocery store until Friday night. This week is going to be different though. Mainly because Eric & I came home from his mom's with enough leftovers to feed an army yesterday, so we'll be using those up for lunches. For dinners, I'm stocked up on veggies, chicken, and pasta, so we'll be set!

  2. Nice realistic goals Bri! Mine is simply, start Yoga and start learning Spanish :)
